About us
The two partners in Hilldino, Duncan Hilleary and Albert Scardino, have worked together in several businesses over a period of some 20 years.
Duncan Hilleary – Managing Partner has been an entrepreneur for most of his working life. Prior to Hilldino, he and Albert founded the e-commerce platform auctionair.co.uk , where Duncan served as Chief Executive from 2002 to 2013. Prior to this Duncan founded the inflight media business Spafax Airline Network, which over a 12 year period he expanded to an annual billing turnover of a little over US$100m. That company is now owned by WPP. Duncan was also also closely involved through his family in the formation of The Edinbane Estate Wind Farm Company – in which he retains a significant shareholding and serves as a director on its board. EEWFL launched one of the UK’s first wind farm applications and now has a 41.4 MW capacity site running Enercon 2.3 MW turbines on its land on the Isle of Skye, operated by Vattenfall. This triggered Duncan’s interest in wind energy.
